Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church was established in 1915 with 22 charter members. The church has been active in the Saline, State and American Baptist Association from the beginning. Full-time services began in January 1968. Mt. Zion has continued to grow through the years adding additional buildings and land as the Lord has allowed.

Mt. Zion has been active in the missionary field sponsoring two missions. The first mission sponsored was Grace Missionary Baptist located in Auburn Georgia with Bro. Bobby Bear as pastor. The second mission was Bee Creek Missionary Baptist Church located in Branson, Missouri, with Bro. Richard Hamiln as the missionary, co-sponsored with Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Benton. God has blessed Mt. Zion and we are continuing in mission work, supporting various mission works , locally, nationally and internationally.
